This delightful series is a fun way to express yourself while toning up your legs, hips and abs, and even improving your flexibility. Learn classic burlesque technique such as bump and grind and work on walking in high heels. Wear form-fitting workout top, bring long gloves, heels and a bra to learn some basics of burlesque striptease while creating a sexy new burlesque routine to the classic Peggy Lee song, “Fever”. Challenge your comfort zone and push your own envelope while having a blast. There is no nudity in this series!

Burlesque Striptease Basics: Four Tuesdays in Jan ( 5, 12, 19, 26)

8:30 - 9:30 p.m.

$80 in advance, $100 at the door if space available

This class explores movement and dance formed during the Golden Age of Burlesque. Learn how to bump and grind, shimmy, work your boa and remove a glove with feminine grace and charm. This delightfully decadent series focuses on posture, flexibility, strength and coordination with movement that is natural and instinctive. In this fun series, you will apply your technique to a classic routine learned throughout the four weeks. Bring high heels, boa and long gloves.

Bumps and Grinds Workshop:

Sat. Jan 23 2-4 p.m.

In this two-hour burlesque workshop, learn the basics of burlesque dance: bump and grind. These classic moves will work your hips, abs and butt and help you improve your poise and grace. This series is a fun way to break a sweat and learn a few tricks of the trade. In just two hours, you'll practice these fundamental moves and incorporate them into a short burlesque routine in the second half of class. Workout and dance wear is recommended. Shoes are not needed for this class.

Special Sat Workshop: Sitting Pretty

 In this two-hour workshop learn a flirty chair routine that will transform you into a steamy temptress.  Classic burlesque moves such as walks and struts and bump and grind are incorporated into the routine as well as glove peels.
