Holy smokes you guys. This year is certainly starting off with a bang, and I have so much to share with you, I hardly know where to start.
Where you'll find me:
The Bettie Page Tribute Show: Next weekend, you can catch me, The Jigglewatts, Cardinal Cyn, Black Widow Burlesque and others in Austin and Houston for this tribute to the late and great Bettie Page. As if a bevvy of gorgeous gals wasn't enough, these shows will also screen an exclusive clip from the forthcoming documentary, Bettie Page Reveals All: The Authorized Documentary. Friday we'll be in Austin and then Houston the following day. Don't miss it!
Tickets: Alamo Draft House Lake Creek
Tickets: Alamo Draft House West Oaks
The Crystal Palace, featuring Catherine D'lish: Saturday, January 23: The Lakewood Theater: Tickets are going fast for this show, and I would sure hate for you to miss seeing Catherine D'lish. Plus this is one of the largest, most diverse casts ever for a La Divina Productions Show. Get tickets now!
The Dallas Burlesque Festival: February 5-6: The Historical Texas Theatre: Remember last year? It was huge, and this year will be bigger than ever. With dancers from around the country (even as far away as New Zealand) and special guest Angie Pontani, this two-day event will be the largest show of the year. Get tickets before they sell out!
There's even more fabulous shows and events coming later in February and March, I'll post more info soon.
Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 10:53AM Remember when I went to Austin to perform with my dear sweet friends the Jigglewatts for the Bettie Page Tribute Show? Well, there's a trailer up from the performance, thought you guys might be interested. Check it out.
Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 1:53PM Ooh, it's the first day of October and it's rainy and stormy and I couldn't be happier. Tomorrow I dash off to Austin for The Bettie Page Tribute show featuring burlesque dancing and a preview of the upcoming documentary, Bettie Page Reveals All. I'm very excited.
The new Pin Curl Magazine is out and you can find a charming interview by cover girl Rose Darling and a recap on NOBF from yours truly. Check it out.
October is going to be a month full of fun things to do, so don't forget to buy tickets in advance to Burlesque Nocturne and The Wake (which might be the best Halloween party ever).
Also, if you feel sketchy you can check out Dr. Sketchy's Denton for some drinks and drawing w/Kali Ann.
And the Lollie Bombs present Boolesque Oct 9 & 10. Get your tickets by calling 214-821-1860.
My goodness! So much to do this month. I'll be back soon w/a recap from Austin.
xoxo
