The Legend Lives
Evangeline the Oyster Girl is Ginger Valentine. She was officially sanctioned by the original Evangeline the Oyster Girl, Kitty West. West first performed the act in 1948 on Bourbon Street. Miss Valentine reprises the role after studying the original act, and learning from Kitty West. Ginger Valentine won the coveted “Queen of Burlesque” title at the 2011 New Orleans Burlesque Festival. She performs extensively all over the South, and will bring the Oyster Girl act to The Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas at part of the annual Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend.

Want to learn the art of classic burlesque? The Ruby Room Offers a wide range of classes from a beginner course to advanced workshops. You will learn to bump, grind and shimmy like a pro, and you will get a great workout.
Adult Ballet Classes
Ever dream of becoming a ballerina? No experience is necessary for this ballet class! Learn the fundamentals of ballet barre and center work to build strength, coordination and flexibility. Perfect for beginners and experienced dancers.
Vinyasa Yoga Classes
Under the instruction of Ashley Compton, you will learn the proper alignment, action and energetic quality of each posture so that you keep your joints safe and maximize the benefits of yoga. This music-filled vinyasa class will leave you feeling refreshed.
Burlesque & Hip-Hop
Taught by Missy Lisa, Urban Burlesque is burlesque inspired dance with a modern twist, shake and shimmy. You will have fun and feel ultra sexy learning a new choreographed dance routine each session! Hip-Hop is taught by Shelbelle Shamrock. All styles of Hip Hop including beginner level. Her classes classes are designed to allow women to try something new and burn calories with style.
